Nature in close up

Just like last week, I raided our flowerbeds for my daily photo when I got home from work this evening. We planted these Dianthus back in April but it's taken them a while to get going, mostly because Lucy has taken great delight in nibbling many of the flower buds (and then spitting them out), simply because she likes the crunchy sound they make. However, they've finally started flowering in earnest in the last month and I chose two of the prettiest flowers with which to create a pair of soft, dreamy images.

Both seem quite unique to me! Prefer the first for having something very unusual going on in it's center.
