Life beneath the Thames

I visited Greenwich today to attend the annual Early Music Festival at the Old Royal Naval College. I got off the Docklands Light Railway a stop early to take a stroll through the Greenwich foot tunnel beneath the Thames. I had a feeling it would make a good subject for my new fisheye lens and I think my instincts were right. Its curvaceous lines seem even more so here and I had some fun photographing both the tunnel and the people who passed through it.

You'd never know it from these two photos but both busking and cycling is banned in the Greenwich foot tunnel. Mind you, I don't blame this chap in the slightest for flouting the rules - it has a fabulously resonant acoustic!

Glad to see that your new lens is getting us more of your excellent work!
On the other hand, I'm too claustrophobic, to seek out such a place to person....gulp/grin/grimace......
Keep up the good work!
