Sharon intended to go home to Oxfordshire today but her plans were completely wrecked by the fact that the M25 was at a complete standstill (Kevin had the misfortune to spend five hours sitting in the traffic jam this morning!). Given that there was no chance of travelling west we took matters in our own hands and headed to Chelmsford for a spot of window shopping in the local camera shop and some rather damp street photography. By early afternoon the rain was hammering down and the majority of the shoppers were brandishing umbrellas and weren't in the slightest bit interested in us hiding under one of the empty farmers' market gazebos armed with cameras. We kept our eyes open for interesting characters but I think our favourite one was the little boy who was reluctantly following his mum and grandma, all the time struggling to manage an umbrella several times as big as he was!
