When Kevin and I went to the Bluebell Inn in Kevin's 1966 Mini a couple of weeks ago we found ourselves parked on a slight incline, which proved to be a bit of a strain for Morris's aging brakes. We solved the problem by borrowing a couple of old bricks from the pub to use as chocks but it got me thinking. My parents were trying to figure out what to buy Kevin for his birthday so I suggested my Dad made him some bespoke chocks for future hilly locations. This week Kevin was presented with his chocks (which were, of course, a complete surprise) and he was delighted with them. My Dad's attention to detail never fails to amaze me and, even on something practical like this, he taken the time to decorate them beautifully, using the original 1960s Morris typeface - truly a pair of posh-chocks!
