Nature's kaleidoscope

I sneaked a quick peek out of the window at 6.30 this morning and saw some gorgeous colours appearing over the hills across the valley.  This was enough to persuade me I really should make the effort to visit the Cobb one last time before I went home.  As I arrived the view towards Charmouth  was a riot of pinks and a layer of mist was lying on the water at the base of the cliffs.  I walked along the Cobb to take some photos of the sun rising and here the pinks faded into a selection of blues and yellows - truly a natural kaleidoscope of colours!

I added a six stop ND filter to my later shots to soften the water. I rather like the effect - not totally milky water but somehow it emphasises the movement of the waves.
