Aquatic iPhoneography

My day has been full of photographic activity today, although it comprised mostly of editing pictures from the Recorder Summer School and creating a photobook from them to send to the students.  If you want to see the end result you can sneak a peek in my Blurb shop here.   I did take a few photos but have instead decided to share some additional pictures taken at Marwell yesterday.  When I came across an aquarium my long lens was too long so I decided to continue experimenting shooting on my iPhone, using the Adobe Lightroom app to shoot in RAW.  The low light conditions were something of a challenge for the iPhone's tiny sensor but I was pleasantly surprised as the end results - not bad at all for a camera with such enormous limitations!

Good pics, those Iphones sure have made life simpler and the quality is quite good.

Thanks Joe. The quality isn't up there with DSLRs or mirrorless cameras yet but it's a great compromise if you need to travel really light!

Yes a good result, I love my iphone for photography but return to my camera for Zoom facilities and better clarity, the iphone is so handy for speed and easy carrying.....................................

Sometimes the camera you have with you, even if it is just a phone, is the best one!

Very nice series, especially under less than ideal circumstances. I'll have to give the Lightroom app a go ion my iPhone. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks Jay. I dread to think how much space I'm filling up on my phone with the RAW photos but I love the extra control it gives me!
