I love the look of joy on Ruth's face as she conducts
My focus this weekend has been a recorder orchestra course I've been tutoring on near Hoddesdon. About seventy recorder players came together on Friday evening and it's been an absolute joy to work with these lovely people. The highlight of the course for me was yesterday evening when I had the pleasure of conducting a performance of a Bach Harpsichord Concerto with my friend Rosemary Robinson playing the solo part. It was a tall order to work through and perform this amazing work in ninety minutes but it was such fun too. Today I used a little of my time between sessions to capture the playing that was going on - partly for my own satisfaction but also to use in publicity material for next year's course.
