A bug's eye view

I went for a walk around the gardens at West Dean College this afternoon, armed with my camera.  Unusually, I didn't come away with lots of photos that really excited me but I did rather like this bug's eye view of a daisy.  One of the great benefits of my mirrorless camera is its articulated screen which allows me to get pictures like this without lying on the ground.  As it happens I was sitting cross legged on the path when I took this (which garnered me some odd looks from fellow walkers!) but it certainly made it much easier than it would have been with my DSLR!

Nicely composed photo, its pretty. What type of day was it when you took the image, had it rained earlier? It's funny how people look strange at others taking photos. You won't get anything that different if you don't change your angle and perspectives as you did. :)

Thank you Quatisha. It was a fairly overcast day so the light was beautifully soft and there was still some dew on the grass from the night before. I love the way I can get unusual points of view with my little mirrorless camera - having an articulated screen is so handy!
