

I have no idea what these flowers are but they're rather delicate. At first glance I thought they were catkins.
I had a long drive down to Sussex today so I used that as an excuse to stop off at the RHS gardens at Wisley. It soon became clear that the stiff breeze was going to pose something of a challenge so I headed up to the alpine house where I could at least seek some shelter.

Blossom on one of the trees - I had to be very patient to catch these between gusts of wind!
I found a riot of colour and was point for choice in terms of flowers to photograph. I still had to time my shots between gusts of wind but it was a pleasant way to break my journey and find my photo for the day.
