Evading the breeze

I have no idea what these flowers are but they're rather delicate. At first glance I thought they were catkins.

I had a long drive down to Sussex today so I used that as an excuse to stop off at the RHS gardens at Wisley.  It soon became clear that the stiff breeze was going to pose something of a challenge so I headed up to the alpine house where I could at least seek some shelter.

The last of the snowdrops

Blossom on one of the trees - I had to be very patient to catch these between gusts of wind!

I found a riot of colour and was point for choice in terms of flowers to photograph.  I still had to time my shots between gusts of wind but it was a pleasant way to break my journey and find my photo for the day.

It's not very often you find flowers with green petals

Thank you very much! I shot these with the Olympus 60mm macro lens on my Panasonic GX8. Apologies for the slow reply!
