Early morning sight seeing

The traffic was kind to me early this morning and I arrived in Oxfordshire with time to spare before my rehearsal.  When I spotted a sign for Great Coxwell Tithe Barn I dived off the main road to visit this magnificent medieval structure.  The huge doors were open although, judging by the panic among the roosting pigeons they aren't used to visitors so early in the day!

The early morning sunshine was creating some lovely effects inside the barn

Is a tithe barn part of the church?
Any idea when it was built?
Nice architectural images!

Thanks Jay! It was built in the 14th century as part of a monastery, although it's purpose was to store crops.

Now this brought back some memories of our time spent in Carterton & Brize Norton back in the early 80's. Very nice Helen and thanks for the memories!
