Having dropped off my hire car this morning I had a few hours to kill before my train home so I planned a little street photography. First I met up with Cameron, a former pupil of mine who's studying at the university here, for a coffee and a catch up. After we'd parted company I headed off in search of some interesting characters to photograph.
I started up near Edinburgh Castle, thinking it was bound to be a good hunting ground. Frustratingly I felt very uninspired by the people I found so I followed my nose, back down the Royal Mile and then towards Princes Street. Gradually I discovered some interesting people to photography, although it didn't come as naturally as I'd hoped. I even found some animals to photograph, some real, some sculptural and I finally headed home exhausted but satisfied with my photographic explorations of the city.
