A golden gem

Hatfield Forest is aglow at the moment with buttercups as far as the eye can see.  There are estimated to be 300 million of them across the plains, although I don't plan to count them myself to verify that figure!  I found a small clumps of blooms beside the corner of my kiosk this morning so I took a moment between visitors to capture a close up of this golden gem.
