The interloper

There are times when it seems our little road is home to more cats than humans. It's quite entertaining watching the feline politics in action and observing the alliances that are built up. Stanley, the little scamp who lives next door to us, has struck up an allegiance with this tabby and white cat and they can often be seen exploring together. Lucy, on the other hand, hates him with a passion and whenever he sneaks into our garden he's given short shrift. This morning I heard a scrabbling on the back gate and was rather taken aback to see Mr Tabby sitting nonchalantly on the water butt, surveying the garden confidently. Fortunately Lucy was sound asleep indoors, so there was no catty stand-off today, and he took a sniff of the catmint before padding away and over into our neighbour's garden.

Gotta love cat behaviour.  Always trying to assert dominance and claim new territory, which this one looks very bold in trying to do so. open mouth

Oh yes, he's never afraid to explore other cats' territories!
