Team Chatterbox

Bishop Burton College is home to a huge menagerie of animals, many of them part of the college's outdoor animal management course. When I visited this morning the meerkats were, quite sensibly, fast asleep in their house. However, the Nanday Conures, a type of South American parakeet, were wide awake and in fine voice. They were sitting in groups quietly chattering away but as soon as they spotted me they burst into a loud chorus of gregarious squawking instead!

Great shot!  Had you combed your hair before visiting them?
