I've often thought there's as much beauty in nature as it decays as in full bloom. I failed to capture a good photo of our sunflowers this year, although this is mostly because I stupidly planted them behind an incredibly profuse Angelica plant which grew so large I couldn't reach the golden blooms! This weekend Kevin did a spot of tidying in the garden and brought some of the flowers indoors so we can harvest the seeds for next year. There's something so lovely about the rich colours and textures that I decided to use them in a photo, even if they are past their prime. Using some moody flash illumination I think it even fits the 'low light' weekly theme quite well so this will be my entry. If you would like to know more about the Photoblog weekly theme, and hopefully take part, do pop over to the forum to take a look here.
