A new member of staff was waiting to greet me when I visited our village post office this morning. At the door I met a beautiful and very friendly ginger cat. I quickly discovered that he actually lives around the corner but has taken to visiting in recent days. No doubt the affection he receives from the customers is part of the attraction, although the freshly bought bag of cat treats from the corner shop is perhaps a larger enticement! While I was in the Post Office his owner came calling and I learned that his name is Saffron. With the help of a little edible bribery from the staff I managed to catch a photo of Saffron and I promised to leave a print there for his owner to collect next time he's passing.
