Under cover of darkness

My photography time was severely limited today as I spent most of the day indoors at a conference. I finally found a few minutes before my evening class, by which time it was dark. I took a quiet walk around the churchyard beside the hall where my class takes place, hoping to catch some eerie images of the gravestones under the nearby sodium lights. I hadn’t banked on the security lights though, which suddenly illuminated as I crept through the churchyard, wiping out the sense of atmosphere in an instant. However, I found an angel on a grave, along with a face carved on the side of the church, which had something of the mood I was after.

These are something else
they took me someplace else
someplace brighter
where it darkness reigned.
