Concert preparations

Back in 1998 three friends and I formed a Baroque chamber group, the Parnassian Ensemble, and we’ve been performing together ever since. Today we celebrated our twentieth anniversary with a concert in St. John’s Chapel in Chichester. Sadly, David, our harpsichordist was taken ill last week, and it became obvious by the weekend that he wasn’t going to be out of hospital in time to give our concert. Fortunately, a friend of ours was able to step in to play the organ for us, so the show could go on.

During our rehearsal this afternoon I took the opportunity to take some informal photos of Sophie, Lynden and Richard. I only had a handful of minutes so I quickly took a mix of the three of them playing together and some more relaxed moments too. After all the rushed rehearsing yesterday the concert itself went really well, although we missed having David there on stage with us. I guess it just gives us a chance to have another celebration when he’s back to full health!
