With a long meeting ahead of me this afternoon, I managed to sneak a few minutes to myself in the garden this morning, watching the bluetits. Having moved the feeding station the birds are a little further from the garden bench, where I usually sit. After a few minutes I realised I could probably tuck myself away by the back of the garage to get better photos. I tried out my theory and the birds quickly returned – I presume they were perhaps less concerned by my silhouette, hiding among the compost bins! I just had time to catch a few shots before I had to head out to my meeting and this one appealed to me most, with one of the adult birds looking at me inquisitively.
