Catching the last rays of the sun

It’s been a busy day today, spent conducting one of my recorder orchestras, with no time left for photography. Once we’d finished for the day I stopped off at the church in Aston before heading home, hoping I might find a little something for my daily blog post. I’ve photographed this character once before, when I first went to look at the hall we use for our rehearsals, back in January 2016. On that occasion the light was very flat, but today was a very different. The last of the afternoon sun was catching his face, sculpting it beautifully – what a contrast!

Love this view, to be able to see all the detail in this carving.  And that light just makes it a fabulous photo!

It's exquisite
to catch the kisses
of sun rays
wherever we are full moon with face

Thank you.
