After yesterday’s journey to Norway, it was down to business today, with the Parnassian Ensemble. We spent a couple of hours this morning rehearsing our concert programme, before heading out to do some exploring before the light faded. Sophie was keen to show us Mount Fløyen, so we walked over to the funicular railway, which would carry us up the steep hill.
The view from the top was truly spectacular, although the same couldn’t really be said for the light. However, with heavy rain predicted for tomorrow, I was pleased it was at least clear enough to see for miles!
Unfortunately, the café at the top of the hill was closed (I guess a Wednesday in November isn’t peak tourist season) so we headed back downhill and stopped off at the Zupperia for a warming lunch. I plumped for the Rudolph Soup, which was absolutely delicious and big enough to feed a whole family!
