Today was concert day, albeit in a rather unusual venue. We regularly perform in churches and concert halls, but today’s concert was to be in a bar. Nøsteboden was built in 1645 as a storage building for the port of Bergen. Over time the building fell into disrepair but it’s been lovingly restored by the current owners and converted for use as a bar.
While David tuned the harpsichord I spent some time exploring the bar with my camera, taking in the amazing collection of furniture and other items. I could have spent hours taking yet more photos but it was time to get to work.
During our rehearsal I was able to set my camera up on a nearby shelf to take some photos of us in action. Inevitably, many of them didn’t work, but I managed to find one usable shot to record our visit to this unique place.
