The weather’s been a little milder this week, so I took the opportunity to spend some time in the garden this afternoon. My aim was to photograph the local bird population, but it’s been a while since I’ve been in the garden regularly. As a result my presence put most of them off coming to feed. I whiled away the time reading and, of course, Lucy came to keep me company from time to time. Eventually she settled in a flower bed and a lone blackbird plucked up the courage to come and eat some of the mealworms I’d sprinkled around. As the weather improves I’ll try and do this more often, so hopefully the birds will get used to me again. In the meantime I just need lots of patience!
