Buttercup season

I’ve been hoping for some times that the annual display of buttercups at Hatfield Forest would keep going as I’ve got my second photography workshop of the season this Thursday. I did a recce this afternoon, to get an idea of possible shooting locations and was delighted to see a great swathe of gold carpeting Takeley Hill.

Having made my plans and taken some more example photos for my workshop I then went to see the Red Poll cattle, who returned to the forest at the start of the month. They were lounging around in the sunshine and, provided I kept a reasonable distance from them, weren’t especially concerned by my presence.
