I had the opportunity to visit Michael Kenna’s exhibition in Bosham today, a retrospective of his 45 year career. I’ve often seen his wonderful black and white landscape photos online, but they’re so much more beautiful as real prints. One in particular stood out to me – a row of poplar trees in Italy. Sadly I couldn’t afford to buy the print, so I contented myself with a postcard instead, although if I win the lottery before the exhibition ends I’ll certainly be returning for the real thing! The exhibition is on until the end of August, so if you find yourself in Sussex over the next month I heartily recommend popping along to the Bosham Gallery.
