Calke Abbey – exploring the finer details

Having shared some of the spaces I found at Calke Abbey yesterday, today I’m focusing on the interesting details I found around the house. Some of them are architectural features, while there was also lots to enjoy among the furniture and other items.

I’ve shared my photos in the order I discovered them, from the well preserved rooms on the ground floor, to the more dilapidated spaces upstairs and the stone-masonry outside.
