One of my monthly duties at Hatfield Forest is a walk with a colleague, photographing specific points so we can track how the ground is coping with the changing weather and increasing numbers of visitors. During our walk this morning it was Talitha’s turn to take the official photos, while I map read. As we reached the southern end of the Forest we encountered some of the Red Poll cattle happily munching away among the trees. Naturally I’d brought a camera along too, so I grabbed a couple of bovine portraits before we continued on our way.

Good shots. Certainly not your average forest creature.
