Christmas Day started in the traditional way, with us playing carols outside Kevin’s family home. We’ve done this for a decade or so now, raising funds for the local hospice. We attracted a crowd of about 80 people this morning and collected over £410 during our half hour stint – not a bad way to start Christmas! I wasn’t able to take any photos while I was playing, but I caught this one of Kevin and his brother playing a duet on my phone camera.
After lunch we set fire to the Christmas pudding as usual so I had my camera ready to capture the conflagration. Kevin applied a little more brandy than he intended so the flames were quite sizeable!
Finally, we went for a stroll around the village so I took my camera and my hired lens along to photograph anything that took my interest as the light quickly faded to sunset.
