City patterns

During my stroll between churches in the City of London today I whipped out my 75mm lens to take a few shots for my prime lens project. Shooting with a 150mm effective focal length is proving my biggest challenge yet – it’s just a bit too long for many subjects. I couldn’t get inspired to do much street photography, although I did catch one chap having a sneaky cigarette beside an intriguing sign made of light bulbs. Instead I focused my eyes upwards, taking in some of the lines and architectural contrasts around me.

Very nice set. A lot the newer glass buildings around there have remarkably well lit interiors once the light starts to fade. Would be an interesting variant on street photography to capture some of the movement inside these offices (at least until the City of London Police feel your collar grimacing).

Beautiful, but too modern for me.
