It’s felt properly spring-like today, with some real warmth to the sunshine. I’ve been itching to spend some time in our garden recently, hoping the local birds will get used to my presence again so I can catch some photos. Having done a spot of gadening this morning I sat out with my camera this afternoon and was able to capture some comings and goings. The bluetits are visiting our birdbox regularly now, sometimes with beakfuls of nesting material so hopefully I’ll have some fledglings to photograph later in the summer.

Lucy decided to muscle her way into my photos too!

OH I especially love the one with a mouthful of nesting and the black bird with matching eyes and beak. So beautiful.

Only one long tailed tit is strange, they usually arrive in families.  Great photos Helen.
