Henri, my little Lego photographer accompanied me to Alsa Woods this morning for a spot of bluebell hunting. I was astonished on Sunday to realise these woods are home to a vast area of bluebells. How have I never seen them before?!
At the weekend only a handful of flowers were visible, but by today the warm weather had coaxed a few more out. We still had to search for blooms which were accessible from the paths, but it won’t be long before the woodland floor is a carpet of blue.
Elsewhere Henri helped me sniff out more glimpses of springtime, including cowslips and celandine and I’m sure they will be multiplying in the coming days too.
