Snaking through the village

My brisk walk this morning brought me back past the war memorial where Elsenham’s newest resident is growing. One of the children in the village recently saw a pebble snake created in nearby Bishop’s Stortford and decided it would be a lovely thing to recreate in Elsenham. He started it off with a pebble painted to look like a face a couple of weeks ago and the snake has been gradually growing ever since. Taking a satisfying photo of the whole snake is tricky, so instead I decided to focus on the head and some of my favourite stones from further along. No doubt I’ll return in the coming days and weeks to see how much our newest resident grows!
