Life on the wild side

One of the places I’ve been looking forward to visiting since lockdown is the British Wildlife Centre. This week they reopened their gates so we booked our places for today.

As we walked around, it was noticeable how reticent the animals were compared to previous visits. It’s not surprising really – for four months only people they’ve see are the two keepers who hadn’t been furloughed. To suddenly be faced with lots of unfamiliar faces must be very odd!

Of the photos I took today, I had a pretty low keeper rate – partly because the animals were feeling shy, but largely because I’m out of practice at animal photography. I struck lucky with one of the weasels though, who was evidently very excited to see us and kept popping out to say hello!

#1 doesn't look worried about visitors, the last one is my favorite, as you would expect.  All are great. Must go there one day to see for myself.grinning
