While we were at Goodwood last week I spent some time exploring the paddock with my pinhole camera, which proved a great conversation starter with the other photographers I encountered.
Some of my subjects were static, but I also looked out for opportunities to capture motion through my longer exposures. As I photographed the racing Minis one of the mechanics came and opened the door, resulting in a translucent echo of the number 76.
After lunch I found a queue of cars waiting to head back out on track, so I quickly set up my tripod. The team crowded around the car and I was thrilled to see a set of ghostly figures working to get this speed machine on the road again.
