I felt the need for some quality photography time today so I ventured out in the pouring rain to St Mary’s Church at Chickney. I’ve visited this redundant church a couple of times before, but felt it had more to give.

One of the beauties of Chickney is its location, tucked away among the fields. Aside from the occasional jet flying into Stansted it’s incredibly peaceful and, I suspect, rarely visited. I enjoyed a wonderful hour of solitude, taking time to just stop and stare, seeking out small scenes which would make beautiful photos.

While there I also noticed the glorious acoustic. It’s only ten minutes away from home, so I may well take a recorder or two along next time I visit to really test it out!

You may want to Include a recording of your recorder played in the church, for your next posting~ know I'd like to hear it!
