I sneaked one festive photo in on New Year's Day, while our Christmas tree was still out
There was much excitement this morning as the first set of negatives from my daily pinhole project landed on the doormat. I’ve been shooting a new pinhole photo every day since the start of the year and I’ll be sharing them day by day on my new Instagram pinhole account at @hhpinhole. However, I thought I’d share them all here so my Photoblog friends get a sneak peak at them!

A cheesegrater as you've never seen it before!
My subjects so far have included some still life shots at home – the craziest of which was photographing the inside of our cheesegrater! I’ve also taken the camera along on some of my walks, looking for subjects which involve movement, such as motorway traffic or a passing train.

A rather hurried dawn shot at Hatfield Forest - I should have got closer!

A passing train
One of my other ideas was to document myself in the project and the first film included two selfies – one while I recorded a piece of music and the second on a bench in the village spinney.

I spotted this Old Man's Beard growing on a gate on my way to photograph the motorway traffic and couldn't resist taking a bonus photo

The motorway may look deserted, but quite a few lorries passed beneath me as I shot this!
Most of these can’t be classed as great art, but it’s been fun dreaming up new ideas and it’s shown me what works well and what doesn’t. Watch this space for film no.2!

One of my favourite film cameras - my Olympus Trip 35.

A selfie in the spinney - I like the way the tree branches are visible through me as I had to open the shutter then dash into position

Love the cheese grater (weird?) and the bench selfie - great fun!!
