Winter trees

I’ve been meaning for weeks to share the set of pinhole photos I took at Hatfield Forest in late November, but somehow they’ve always fallen in the cracks. Better late than never, here they are! With blue skies I used a red filter for several of the photos and I think I underestimated the time this would add to the exposures so they all came out a little darker than I’d expected. However, I rather like the drama this creates, especially as there’s enough sunshine in the brighter areas to still show the detail in these ancient trees.

When I see bare trees and shrubs I'm always reminded of human & animal circulatory systems.....
