I got a little distracted on my snowy walk this morning. I went out expecting to take photos of wintery landscapes (and I did shoot a few) but on my walk through the village my ear was drawn to the enthusiastic chattering of the sparrows in various hedges. As luck would have it, I’d put a longish lens on my camera, so I spent a few minutes near the birds, capturing them as the flitted between branches.

I did take a few other snowy shots around the village - it wasn't all about the sparrows!

The sparrows are great but I really love the juxtapostion of the red 'phone box, brown dead leaves, greenery and snow in#4.
