So often I pop a film camera in my bag as an extra item, even though I know I take better photos when I focus fully on either digital or film photography. One day last week I broke that pattern and took my little Rollei 35S with me on a stroll around Saffron Walden, along with a roll of Kosmofoto 100 black and white film.
The sun was shining so I decided to focus my attentions on looking for beautiful light more than specific subjects. This proved a good strategy, as did the choice of monochrome film – the perfect selection for a day with strong contrasts between light and shade.
The last few photos come from my recent walk at Audley End, where I finished off the roll of film. The light wasn’t quite so dramatic this time, but I still found plenty of interest to aim my camera at.
