Today I´ve learnt a lot about using an external flash

Up to now my external flash was something like a step child for me. Today I participated in a flash work shop and now I am thinking about if I ever will put this flash down. It is really amazing what can be done if you once have understood what your flash is able to do

Normal flash against the light

Hi speed flash

with slave flash from below

2 slave flashes from left and right

it is of course too close just for illustrating the effect

Bothe flower shots also done with high speed flash

Früher oder später muss ich auch mal so einen Kurs besuchen. Interessante Unterschiede sind festzustellen.

Thanks for sharing your discovery Gerd! I think I like the results of #7 the best.

One thing I truly want to learn (once I have a flash) I hate my internal flash but want to try the homemade filter that Peter had on his blog.

These are great shots Gerd. They are all so clear and crisp. These portraits look so professional - it's amazing the difference that using a flash in the daytime will make. Can I ask - what flash do you have?

Great to see the results of your work. I don't own a flash yet but I'd heard that off-camera flash was the way to use them. Looking forward to seeing more as you continue to learn :-)
