Sea jousting

Sea jousting is a sport which is practised in France, Switzerland and Germany. It is a form of jousting where each adversary is standing on a boat. The goal of the sport is to send the adversary into the water.
The jousters stand on a wooden platform on their boat. As the two competing boats pass each other, each jouster, protected only by a shield, uses his lance to push his opponent off the platform and into the water. Jousters wear water-resistant suits in most professional leagues while less dedicated jousters wear their normal street clothes or traditional jousting robes.

Now that looks like a fun sport! Better to fall off a boat into the water....then off a horse onto....well horse donuts....haha

Oh, I spent much of my three years at Cambridge in the water because I'm not good at this. And I couldn't swim at the time. We didn't have all this equipment (apart from the alcohol, of course). But we did have the water...
