"Everyone who comes to the mountains brings happiness; some by coming and some by leaving".
Yes! mountains do change your life. The uneven terrain, the steep slope, and the beautiful views. I have always dreamt about living in the mountains and hope to fulfill this dream in the future. Mountains have taught me how to be patient and empathetic. This time I am a little worried about them too. The way we as a tourist, locals are carelessly overusing the resources and making the places dirty with garbage. We need to be responsible.
Yesterday afternoon we went on a small trek. Walking down the steep terrain we reached this cascade. The water was very cold and I tried to stand in the water but couldn't. We sat there for a while mesmerized by the beauty and the sound of running water.
I am sharing a few pictures of cascade here to give you all the feel and emotion I had there. Life is strange just like the water, it finds the path and keeps running between the rocks, cliff ... falls down and maintains the pace to reach the destination. Similarly, our life never stops and you die one day reaching your destination
On the way back, we saw beautiful sceneries. Mountains never stop surprising us. Every time you move ahead with a different angle you get a different view. It's amazing to see the same mountain look totally different every time. Whenever I see a mountain the first thought that comes to my mind is to climb it. It gives a sense of achievement to me. Those peaks help me meet myself again and again.
It's been years now that I am visiting mountains in different parts like Uttrakhand, Nepal, and now Himachal Pradesh. It's a beautiful experience, it is helping me to be more humble and compassionate towards others, especially animals.
Hope you all will like the pictures. Your comments and suggestion will be very helpful.
Disclaimer: Do visit the mountains but be responsible. Mountains are watching you.
