While in Los Angeles to visit my son over Christmas, I was up early enough to catch these jet streamers in the sunrise light. This was our first day of shooting together - my son's photos can be found at http://www.duffyknox.com/Personal/slice-of-life/Downtown-LA-1/10833058_YrtQR#755519991_5HqPq [duffyknox.com]

On our way to photograph LA River bridges, we stopped off at the Hollenbeck Lake Park.

Even in LA there are fall colours.

As can be seen, the bridge we eventually got to was under reconstruction.

At this time of year, the water level of the river is low.

The bridge passes over railyards on both sides of the river.

Where the rest of the world uses barbed wire, Angelinos love their razor wire and use it frequently.

A fraying plastic garbage bag creates an interesting abstract on the razor wire.
