Three of us took the tour through the now defunct Kingston Penitentiary yesterday. Although tripods are not allowed cameras are definitely permitted.
Construction started in 1833 so the architecture mimicked the stonework of south-east Ontario; thanks to the canal builders there were plenty of Scots stonemasons to draw upon. Closed in 2014, the Pen has become a very popular tourist attraction.
