Hidden Ottawa

Although the NCC maintains bike paths and walking trails, this particular area of Ottawa is not well known to the general public. After living in Ottawa for 40 years I only discovered this hidden gem (Pumping Station) the other day. Love surprises! Typical of the stonework construction of the time, the Pump House was built in 1875 with upgrades in 1888 and 1901 and is still in use today.
