We were so busy with our Romanian friend and tour leader Daniel that I never got a chance to process the first outing we had with him. So although he has now returned home to Bucharest here are some memories of what we subjected him to on his first day here. 😈
As can be seen, we were undeterred by the weather but it was disappointing that the canal was closed (it reopened later that evening).
Love locks abound in every country!
The weather was so foul that we headed into the campus at Ottawa U, specifically the Engineering Building.
The building lends itself to abstract photography
After a lovely lunch in a restaurant by the canal the day had changed dramatically. Now we were in brilliant sunshine and crisp cold so we headed over to the Rideau Falls. There we found work crews cutting the ice to prepare it for the blasting that happened a day later.
A killer saw, you would not want to be on the wrong side of that blade!
Frozen Rideau Falls. All in all, a very diverse day.
