Doors Open Ottawa: the NRC

Each year cities and communities across Ontario open the doors of normally inaccessible to the public buildings. Thousands of people take advantage of the opportunity to get a glimpse inside a building that has tweaked their interest over the years. As I had to be in town on this weekend (not always the case) I was very happy to get inside the wonderful building on Sussex Drive that has housed the National Research Council since the 1930's.

As can be seen, there is a beautiful marble staircase and their ceilings are fabulous!

Very impressive indeed. They just don’t make things now like they used to.
