It has been a peculiar winter this year in the Nation's Capital. Lots of snow with some dregs left for Christmas, rain and bits of more snow. Can be damp and bone chilling but there are still sights to photograph.
I walked over to the Chaudière Bridge, not the spring rush but definitely lots of action.
Unfortunately the designers of the bridge did not ask for a photographer's opinion so they put the only pedestrian walkway on the opposite side of the bridge to the rushing water.
However if you turn around this is the view you get of Parliament Hill and the Portage Bridge.
The Chaudière Bridge with its single walkway. Obviously not a new bridge!
Going home I walked across the frozen vacant lot in front of the Holocaust Memorial.
The day before was cloudy and misty and warm enough I was back in my fall jacket, unlike yesterday which was bitter in the wind! I find this view of the locks never fails to fascinate me no matter what the weather.
