Urban Autumn

It was such a beautiful day on Sunday that I just had to get out. So I walked over to the Rideau Falls to try out an ND 2 stop filter and a polarizer filter together with my sturdy tabletop tripod balanced on a concrete railing. Worked perfectly.

The ducks seem to like sitting on top of the world nor are they disturbed by the strong water flow.

The Rideau River joins the Ottawa River at these falls and the flow is carefully controlled.

After a fun time at the falls I crossed the street to old City Hall (now the Dept. of External Affairs) to see the Minto Bridges. Can you imagine how nice it would be to eat your lunch with this view?

Great variety & creative captures!
I guess the ducks know they can fly, if they go over the falls, so not so dangerous for them, after all.....right?smile

The 0.5s of #4 captured the motion of the water flow, good catch!
