Sunday Walk

The cold abated somewhat and the sun came out so I decided to go out to play with my Helios F2 vintage lens. Everything was shot with the Acros filter on my Fuji although I did have the choice of colour as I shot in raw. It was just a walk around the National Gallery, not very far. I am very lucky in my neighbourhood.

Although this side of the National Gallery was in deep shadow the late afternoon sun bounced off a glass building half a block behind me to create a spotlight effect on the banner for the indigenous exhibition currently on view.

An advantage at this time of year is the lack of foliage so the shape of the tree can be seen.

I seem to be most comfortable with it when I shoot in b&w.  Quite happy with it on this shoot.
